| The Binghamton Black Bears (26-9-2)
bounced back from the night before loss to the Hat Tricks with a 4-1
win over the Elmira Mammoth (12-23-4) at the First Arena. After a
scoreless 1st period, the Black Bears scored 3 goals in less than 6
minutes getting tallies from Nikita Ivashkin, who scored 2 goals
with Jacob Walters scoring in between the Ivashkin goals. In the 3rd
period, Josh Newberg scored the 4th goal of the game for the Black
Bears before the Mammoth got a power play goal to make it a 4-1
game. Jeremie Forget played a stellar game saving 30 of 31 shots as
former Black Bears net-minder, Harley White saved 43 of 47 for the
Mammoth. The Black Bears now turn their attention to the Carolina
Thunderbirds next weekend, as the two teams will play 3 in 3 at the
Arena starting next Friday at 7:00 PM. |
