| The Binghamton Black
Bears (1-0) defeated the Watertown Wolves (0-1) by the score of 6-2
in game 1 of the Commissioner's Cup Empire Division Series B
match-up. Watertown got on the score sheet first with a goal from
former Black Bear Everett Thompson. The Black Bears would then score
the next 6 goals in row taking a 6-1 lead late into the 3rd period.
The Black Bears saw goals tonight from Chad Lopez, 2 from Tyson
Kirkby with 1 of them coming on the power play, a goal from Jesse
Anderson, Austin Thompson chipped one in tonight and Mac Lewis
scored while the Black Bears were a man down in the 3rd period.
Brennan Young scored the final goal for the Wolves near the three
quarter mark of the 3rd period. Talor Joseph continued his stellar
play saving 30 of 32 shots and earning his 1st playoff win for the
Black Bears. The two team now travel to Binghamton to play game 2 of
the series in the Vision Veterans Memorial Arena. |
