| The Binghamton Black
Bears (36-15-5) defeated the Elmira Mammoth (14-35-7) for the 10th
time this season tonight by the score of 5-4. Donald Olivieri scored
two goals for the Black Bears tonight marking his 11th and 12th
goals in the 15 games he has played. Austin Thompson scored for the
Black Bears in the 1st period to start the scoring, while Donald
Olivieri scored the next two, before Gavin Yates and Connor Smith
rounded out the scoring for the Black Bears. Former Black Bear and
Binghamton Native Geno DeAngelo scored the Mammoth's 4th and final
goal of the night notching the game up at four goals before Connor
Smith's game winning tally. Talor Joseph started in net for the
Black Bears winning his 6th game in a row, saving 32 of 36 shots.
The Black Bears now head to the Commissioner’s Cup playoffs facing
off against the Watertown Wolves Friday night in Watertown. |
