| The Binghamton Black
Bears (32-15-5) defeated the Columbus River Dragons (38-10-4)
Saturday night at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score
of the 5 to 3. Chad Lopez started the scoring off for the Black
Bears in the first period with a power play goal at the 16:16 mark
of the 1st period. Mac Lewis gave the Black Bears a 2-0 lead early
in the 2nd period before the River Dragons got in the score sheet.
Black Bears got their remaining 3 goals from Tyson Kirkby, Justin
Somero and Colan Fitzgerald. Talor Joseph started in goal for the
2nd straight game and saved 33 of 36 shots to get his 7th win of the
season. Then Black Bears will play a home and home series next
weekend vs. the Delaware Thunder starting Friday night in Binghamton
before heading to Delaware Saturday for game 2 in the weekend
series. |
