Roger Neel

1978 - 1986


Roger Neel was the play-by-play announcer for the Broome Dusters from 1978-1980, and the Binghamton Whalers from 1980-1986. In 1985 Roger won the James H. Ellery Memorial Award. The award was given to media individuals who contributed most to the progress of the American hockey League.

Roger is now retired but was play-by-play voice of the Binghamton Bearcat's men's basketball team, and the morning host on NewsTalk 1290 WBNF.
