MINI RECAP
The Binghamton Black Bears (23-3-6) defeated the Motor City Rockers (17-11-4) by the score of 6-3 inside of the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The Black Bears opened the scoring up after Donald Olivieri cleaned up a couple rebounds 7:01 into the 1st period putting the Black Bears up 1-0. The Black Bears then scored 22 seconds later to make it a 2 goal lead with a shot off the stick of forward, Josh Fletcher. With Tristin Wells in the box for tripping and Motor City down a man, two specialty team goals were scored, a short-handed goal by the Rockers Thomas Delaney and a power play goal for the Black Bears by Donald Olivieri, his 2nd goal of the game. The Black Bears scored the only goal in the period on the power play from Andrew Logar 6:46 into the period. Olivieri who has taken over this game, score his third goal, his first hat trick with the Black Bears, putting his team up, 5-1. With Dakota Bohn in the box for hooking, the Rockers made the Black Bears pay with a Josh Colten goal at the 12:06 mark of the 3rd. The Black Bears get their 6th goal of the game from the Cowboy, Connor Smith you sent a rocket past Rockers net minder Trevor Babin, putting this game out of reach at 6-2. The Black Bears give up one more to the Rockers with just 38 seconds to go in the game to former Black Bear, Erik Oganezov making this a 6-3 final.
