| The Binghamton Black
Bears (31-15-5) defeated the Elmira Mammoth (14-30-6) for the 8th
time this season by the score of 6-2. After giving up the first goal
of the game to the Mammoth's Nathan Campbell, the Black Bears scored
3 straight goals off the sticks of Chad Lopez, Tyson Kirkby and
scoring his first professional goal and on a power play, Connor
Smith. Elmira then got one back from Luke Richards in the 2nd period
to make the game 3-2. Binghamton then pulled ahead by 3 goals with
Connor Smith's 2nd goal of the night and another by Tyson Kirkby who
scored a goal and registered his 100th point of his career. Mac
Lewis scored late in the third period for the Black Bears making the
game 6-2. Talor Joseph was in goal and saved 20 of 22 shots earning
his 6th win this season. The Black will host the Columbus River
Dragons Saturday night in Binghamton on First Responder's Night,
with a puck drop of 7:00 PM. |
