Mike Busniuk,
Assistant Head Coach
Mike
Busniuk begins his second stint as an assistant coach in
Binghamton. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native spent last year with
the Muskegon Fury of the UHL, and before that as an assistant
coach in Hartford of the AHL. As
a player, Busniuk appeared in 143 NHL games with the Flyers from
1979-1981. He was originally drafted by Montreal in 1971. Busniuk
claimed six Calder Cup Championships with the Nova Scotia
Voyageurs (1976-77), Maine Mariners (1978, 1979, 1984), and
Hartford in 1999. The Denver University graduate finished his
playing career by spending three years in Italy. Mike
and his wife, Jan, spend the off-season in Thunder Bay with their
three children: Jake, Katie and Molly, and dog, Barkley.
