May 3, 2025 - by Bob Howard - BinghamtonHockey.net The Binghamton Black Bears and the Carolina Thunderbirds will meet today at 6 PM for game 2 of the Commissioner's Cup Finals. Last night in game 1, the Black Bears secured a 4-1 win on the road in Winston-Salem. The Black Bears got goals from Kyle Stephan, Gavin Yates, Blake Tosto and Tyson Kirkby. The Thunderbirds lone goal came from Zach White in the 1st period. Connor McAnanama saved 34 of 35 shots in the win, his 5th win this playoffs and 12th win in his career. Mario Cavaliere saved 32 of 36 shots in the loss. After tonight's game 2, the two teams will meet again next Friday in Binghamton for games 3, 4 and 5 (4 and 5 if needed).
