This was the first playoff loss of the Black Bears since May 1st, 2023 when they were eliminated from the Commissioner's Cup playoffs by the Danbury Hat Tricks.

Connor McAnanama saved 27 of 29 shots, taking his first loss in the playoffs and now has a playoff record of 9-1.
The Black Bears and Prowlers will now travel to Binghamton to play game 2 at the Arena on Saturday night with a puck drop of 7:00 PM.
