April 12, 2025 - by Bob Howard - BinghamtonHockey.net Austin Thompson scored a hat trick, getting his 37th, 38th and 39th goals of the season, ending the scoring race with Tyson Kirkby as the leader for the Black Bears with 39 goals. Austin also had an assist in the game for a 4 point night. Nicholas Swain scored 2 goals and had an assist giving him a 3 point night. Tyson Kirkby scored his 37th goal of the season and had 2 assists for a 3 point night. Dakota Bohn had a goal and two assists for a 3 point night. Dan Stone and Donald Olivieri each assisted on 2 goals in the game. Anthony Bernardo scored his first professional goal. Chris Mott scored his 14th and 15th goals of the season, his last goal was the Black Bears 18th short-handed goal of the season. CJ Hapward saved 19 of 20 shots to earn his 4th win of the season. The Black Bears win their 49th game and improve to 49-6-1 and 143 points. With tonight's sellout, the Black Bears had 10 sell-outs this season, the first time a Binghamton Hockey team has had since the 2004-05 season, the B-Sens had 14 sell-outs in the lockout season.
