February 8, 2025 - by Bob Howard - BinghamtonHockey.net The Binghamton Black Bears take on in their only game of the weekend, the HC Venom tonight in Binghamton at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. This is the 6th meeting between the two Empire Division foes who will also play each other twice next Friday and Saturday here in Binghamton, NY. This game was originally supposed to be a home game for the Venom but was switched to Binghamton after the arena dispute and ownership change a couple months of go. The Black Bears are 5-0 this season against the Venom and look to extend their winning streak to 11 games. The Venom are on an 8 game losing streak and are looking to break their streak in a positive way. Last night the Venom lost a heart breakers 3-2 in overtime time to the Watertown Wolves. The Venom got goals last night from Connor Craig and Lester Brown and which saw Rahul Sharma save 58 shots in his pro-debut. The Black Bears last saw action last Saturday as they defeated the Columbus River Dragons 5-1 completing a weekend sweep against the team from Columbus, GA. Dustin Jesseau should make his return to the Venom after a 2 game suspension. Black Bears could start either Nolan Egbert of Connor McAnanama this weekend.
