The puck hit Emery’s pad and trickled across the goal line for a 1-0 lead on the period’s only goal.

David Hymovitz evened the game with his seventh of the season when he backhanded a Brian McGrattan centering pass behind Craig Anderson (10 saves) to make it 1-1 at the 9:27 mark of the middle period.

Babchuk then countered the Hymovitz tally with his 8th of the year for the deciding marker eight minutes later at 17:30.

Norfolk added an insurance goal early in the third period from Mikhail Yakubov to close out the scoring.

A night after Friday’s 6-1 loss to the Admirals in which the Sens were held to a franchise-low 13 shots, Binghamton set a new standard with just 11 shots on net Saturday night.

The loss left Binghamton tied for fifth place with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 3-2 losers in Toronto, as both clubs have 60 points.

The Sens close out their three-game weekend with a 5 p.m. faceoff Sunday at Giant Center as they call on Dennis Bonvie and the Hershey Bears.
