               <font size="2" face="Courier New">February 23, 2004</font></b><p align="center"><b><font size="2" face="Courier New"><font color="#FF0000">Posted by: <a href="mailto:bob@binghamtonhockey.net">Bob Howard</a><br> Credit: </font><a href=http://www.binghamtonhockey.net>Binghamton Hockey.net</a>  </font></b><p align="center"><b><font size="2" face="Courier New">The Binghamton Senators travel to New Hampshire to play the Manchester Monarchs for the second and final time this year today at 7:05. <BR> <BR> The two teams first met up at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on November 21st in Binghamton with the Senators shutting out the Monarchs, 2-0. Billy Thompson stopped all 24 shots he faced in that game for his only shut out of the season. The Senators two goals were scored by Ottawa Senator re-calls Serge Payer &amp; Josh Langfeld. Eleven-year veteran &amp; D-man Steve Bancroft had two helpers in the game for the Senators. All though being shut out in the first meeting, the Monarchs fired 3 more shots at Bill Thompson (24 saves) then did the Sens at Monarch’s goal tender, Milan Hnilicka (19 Saves). <BR> <BR> The two teams did not face each other at all in Binghamton’s first season back into the American Hockey League. <BR> <BR> The Senators last six games has seen the team go 2-2-2 with 2 wins vs. Providence (2-1) &amp; Toronto (6-2), 2 ties vs. Syracuse (0-0) &amp; Wilkes-Barre (2-2), 2 losses vs. Syracuse (3-0) &amp; last night in Springfield (5-3). <BR> <BR> The Monarchs last six games has seen the team go 3-1-2 with 3 wins vs. Albany (3-0), Lowell (3-0) &amp; Providence (3-1), 1 loss to Providence (3-1), 2 ties with Worcester (4-4) &amp; with Portland (1-1). <BR> <BR> Today’s game for Manchester is the beginning of a four game home stand facing Binghamton tonight, Portland on Wednesday, Utah on Saturday and Providence on Sunday. <BR> <BR> The Senators will return home on Wednesday to face the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins then go on a six game road trip starting with two games in Norfolk on Friday and Saturday. <BR> <BR> Manchester’s top point getter is Pavel Rosa who has 57 points (22+35). Goalie, Adam Hauser has a record of 12 wins, 11 losses and 3 ties on the season. He also has 3 shut outs this year with a 2.11 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. <BR> <BR> Denis Hamel sits on top of the Senators statistic race with 49 points (21+28). Goalie, Ray Emery boasts a record of 18 wins, 14 losses and 5 ties. Emery, like Hauser of Manchester has three shut outs on the year. Emery’s goals against average going into tonight’s game sits at 2.3 and he has a .925 save percentage. <BR> <BR> Manchester (27-21-5-3) sits second in the Atlantic division with 62 points, behind the Hartford Wolfpack who has 70 points.
