               <font size="2" face="Courier New">January 29, 2004</font></b><p align="center"><b><font size="2" face="Courier New"><font color="#FF0000">Posted by: <a href="mailto:bob@binghamtonhockey.net">Bob Howard</a><br> Credit: </font><a href=http://www.binghamtonsenators.com>Binghamton Senators.com</a>  </font></b><p align="center"><b><font size="2" face="Courier New">Sens Top Amerks Again <BR> <BR> January 26, 2004 <BR> <BR> Brooks Laich’s second goal of the night at 11:11 of the third period was the game-winner as the Binghamton Senators shaded the Rochester Americans 3-2 Wednesday night in front of 5,613 fans at Blue Cross Arena. <BR> <BR> Laich now has two consecutive contests with two goals, including the game-winning marker, against the Americans in the last five days. <BR> <BR> After a scoreless first period, Laich opened the scoring just 45 seconds into the middle period, finishing off a 2-on-1 break with defenseman Christoph Schubert for his tenth of the season. <BR> <BR> After the Amerks tied the game at 1-1 on a David Cullen marker at 10:55 of the second, the Sens moved out in front to stay at 6:59 of the third period when Josh Langfeld scored his 13th of the season on a feed from Denis Hamel. <BR> <BR> Laich then put the Sens up by two when he deflected a Peter Smrek point drive home at 11:11 of the final period. Hamel also asssited on the goal to finish the night with two helpers. <BR> <BR> Cullen struck for another power play goal to draw Rochester with one goal with 7:23 to play, but the Amerkswould get no closer, failingl on their fifth power play in the final three minutes as Binghamton held on for their 7th road win of the year. <BR> <BR> Ray Emery won his 13th game of the season in making 31 saves. Ryan Miller was tagged with the loss as he stopped 28 of 31 Binghamton shots. <BR> <BR> The Sens connected on one of their three power play chances while killing off three of five Rochester opportunities. <BR> <BR> The Sens are next in action Friday when they travel to Albany for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.</font></b>
