White blasted a drive past goaltender Billy Thompson (22 saves), who appeared to go down on the rising shot.

Providence got on the board first with just four tenths of a second left in the opening period when Andy Hilbert notched his first of the year, whipping a Milan Jurcina rebound home for a 1-0 advantage at 19:59.

Chris Kelly extended his point-scoring string to four games when he backhanded his 12th of the season over Tim Thomas (26 saves) at 8:16 of the second period on assists from Mike Brown and Chris Pittman, cutting the Bruin lead in half at 2-1.

Ivan Huml put the game out of reach with an empty-netter with 1:05 left in regulation.

With the loss, the Sens missed out on a chance to move into a share of fourth place in the East Division with the idle Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Binghamton remains two points behind the Pens and two points up on sixth place Norfolk.

Binghamton will be back in action Friday night when they travel to Albany for a 7 p.m. faceoff. The Sens then return home to face Rochester Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
