Philadelphia is atop the Division with 89 points.

Ray Emery kept the Admirals off the scoreboard for two periods and right winger Pat Kavanagh put Binghamton ahead 1-0 with a wrist shot that beat Adam Munro high on the stick side to score the second period's only goal with 3:56 remaining.

Munro had gloved a Binghamton dump-in and cleared the puck to the left boards, right onto the stick of B-Sens' Chris Neil, who fed Kavanagh for the goal.

Norfolk's Matt Ellison tied the game at 1-all 1:52 into the third period, knocking back a rebound off Emery's left pad. The B-Sens bounced back to take a 2-1 6:46 into the period on a shorthanded goal by Jan Platil, his first of the season, from the left point.

Norfolk again tied the game at 2-2 as Marty Wilford flung a wrister past Emery from the right circle during a 4-on-4 situation with 9:34 remaining in the game.

The overtime period proved fruitless for both teams, with the best chance for each to score occurring in the same rush.

James Wisniewski fed Rene Bourque for a shot that flew wide of the Binghamton net. The puck bounded off the boards and coasted to center ice where the B-Sens' Antoine Vermette gathered and charged in for a breakaway backhander that was deflected wide by Munro.

Ellison scored the shootout game-winner with the final shot, breaking a 2-2 shootout tie.

B-Sens Brandon Bochenski and Anton Volchenkov each scored in the shootout while Rene Bourque and Pavel Vorobiev also scored for the Admirals.
