ADMIRALS OUTMATCHED BY SENATORS

The Admirals could not overcome four first period goals as they lost to Binghamton by a score of 6-2.

The B-Sens got goals from Chris Kelly (2:40), Anton Volchenkov (3:14), Denis Hamel (16:58) and Jason Spezza (17:07) in the opening frame.

In the second period, Adam Munro was replaced by Michael Leighton. Pat Kavanagh scored at the 3:50 mark for Binghamton, and Rene Bourque netted an Admirals goal at 16:25.

Kavanagh and Bourque exchanged goals again in the third, at 13:26 and 14:07 respectively.

Munro made three saves and Leighton stopped 9 shots for the Admirals. Ray Emery finished with 38 stops for the B-Sens.

Norfolk was 2-8 on the power play, Binghamton was 0-5.
