SENATORS HALL OF FAME JERSEY AUCTION RAISES MORE THAN $8,000 FOR DAY NURSERY

The Binghamton Senators post-game jersey auction on Saturday night raised nearly $8,100 for the Day Nursery Association.

Billy Thompson’s jersey raised the most money bringing in $1,200 dollars for the organization. The jerseys were worn only for the Hall of Fame Game on Saturday night.

The Day Nursery Association of Binghamton provides low cost day care for children of parents who are working or attending school. Debbie Miller, the executive director of the Day Nursery, said that the money raised through the Senators jersey auction will help purchase toys and educational supplies.

“It is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps keep our costs low for the families that use our services,” said Miller.
