Norfolk, along with Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is vying with the Senators for the East Division crown.

Binghamton begins the weekend tied for first place with the Philadelphia Phantoms with 85 points. Norfolk is just behind the two teams with 84 points and set a franchise record by winning their 39th game of the season on Wednesday in Bridgeport. The Sound Tigers, who have won more home games than anyone in the East Division, took an early 2-1 lead in that game. But the Admirals rallied with three third period goals for the victory.
The Sens have positioned themselves at the top of the East Division standings by earning points in 15 of their last 17 games. Binghamton has a 10-2-2-3 record during the stretch.

Keep an eye on center Jason Spezza and winger Brian McGrattan as they approach a couple of AHL milestones. Spezza can become the first player in four years to reach the 100 point plateau. He currently has 95 points (26g, 69a). McGrattan needs 60 more penalty minutes to break the AHL single season record set by his former mentor Dennis Bonvie during the 1996-97 season when Bonvie played for Hamilton. McGrattan has 463 penalty minutes this season.

Catch all the action from Virginia with Grady Whittenburg on 680-WINR in the Binghamton area. Countdown to Face Off begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
