| The Binghamton Black Bears (3-1-0) defeated the Hudson Valley Venom (0-2-0) after a 23 save shutout by Connor McAnanama, 5-0. The Black Bears were being out shot but its the quality shots that matter as Austin Thompson continued his hot streak with the games first goal 12:21 into the first period. The Black Bears had break out second period with 3 goals in 4 minutes and 4 seconds, starting first with a goal from the Captain, Tyson Kirkby. Just 36 seconds later, Khaden Henry got his first goal of his career to put the Black Bears up 3-0. Then at the 5:51 mark of the period, Blake Tosto scored the Black Bears 4th goal to complete the 3 goals in 4 minutes and 4 seconds. After 65 minutes of penalty minutes were doled out at the 20:00 minute mark of the 2nd period, the Black Bears came out on the power play and Kyle Stephan showed his D1 level skill and scored the Black Bears second man advantage goal of the game. |
