The Binghamton
Black Bears (44-5-1) defeated the Watertown Wolves
(25-20-3) after being down four to nothing after 20 minutes, then
score seven unanswered goals. After a turnover in the neutral zone
and Davide Gaeta streking into the Black Bears
zone, he sent a pass to Trevor Lord whose shot went
under Black Bears net-minder, CJ Hapward's right
leg and into the net for the games first goal at the 9:24 mark.
After a set play on a faceoff to the left of Hapward, Andrew
Whalen scores the Wolves second goal of the game at the
10:20 making taking the quick 2-0 lead. The Wolves take a 3-0 lead
after another Trevor Lord goal at the 11:58 mark.
With Scott Ramaekers in the box for for
high-sticking Davide Gaeta scored a power play goal
at the 17:06 mark of the 1st period giving the Wolves a 4-0 lead.
With Trevor Grasby in the box for slashing,
Gavin Yates scored the Black Bears first goal of the game
just six seconds after the drop of the puck at the 1:45 mark of the
period. Nicholas Swain then in front of the Wolves
net-minder Anton Borodkin, hacked and whacked, then
back-handed the puck into the back of the net at the 4:15 mark of
the middle period making this a 2 goal game. With Swain in front of
Borodkin while on the power play, Dan Stone scored
the Black Bears 3rd goal of the game and their 2nd power play goal
at the 9:11 mark of the second period. Just 1:11 into the 3rd
period, Scott Ramaekers took a pass from
Zac Sirota and scored the Black Bears 4th goal of the game
notting this game up at 4. Going three for three on the power play,
the Black Bears take their first lead of the game after a
Cameron Clark power play goal, scoring his 19th goal of the
season at the 5:09 mark of the third period. With 3:17 left to go in
the third period Nick Swain scored his 2nd goal of
the game giving the Black Bears a 6-4 lead, scoring his 3rd goal of
the weekend. Chris Mott seals the deal for the
Black Bears scoring an empty net goal with 28 seconds left and the
Black Bears 7th unanswered goal of the game. |
