| The Binghamton Black Bears (1-1) shutout the Port Huron Prowlers (1-1) at home in front of 4,488 fans at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena by the score of 4-0. With Matt Graham in the box for slashing Gavin Yates' stick out of his hand, Yates then scored the first goal of the game on the power play at the 10:43 mark of the 1st period. Donald Olivieri came streaking in on the right side in the offensive zone and sent a pass to Tyson Kirkby who was cutting in front of Valtteri Nousianen tipping in the 2nd goal of the game for the Black Bears at the 18:45 mark. The Black Bears get a 3-0 lead after the Dan Stone goal just 4:46 in the middle period. With the Don Father in the box for tripping, the Black Bears do what they have done all season and scored a short-handed goal off the stick of Chris Mott. Black Bears tie the series at 1 game a piece and will play game 3 at the Arena on Sunday. |
